Worth knowing
This 11cm Panetela has always existed at HU, but it has only been hand-rolled as a longfiller since 2003. The official format designation is identical to the trade name. The mini-smoke may seem a little out of date, but connoisseurs particularly appreciate its elegant blend. 30 – 40 minutes of smoking time.
Flavours
A seductively sweet Upmann. The narrow ring gauge drips a little – the aromatics are not as concentrated and spicy as one might expect, but carried by plenty of honey, floral scents and a gentle R&R flavour. In fact, it is not a little reminiscent of the brand's „Half Corona“, but in the background it unfolds a very subtle additional cocoa note under all the spicy woodiness and sweetness. At times, one has the pleasantly irritating feeling of smoking a much bigger cigar. The variety and breadth of the flavour palette is impressive.

Hermann Upmann war ein Bankier aus Deutschland, der kubanische Zigarren so sehr liebte, dass er 1844 nach Havanna umsiedelte, wo er fortan als Bankier und Zigarrenhersteller tätig war. Seine Bank musste kurz nach 1920 geschlossen werden, aber seine Zigarren leben als exzellentes Beispiel für eine Habano von leichtem bis mittelkräftigem Geschmack weiter. Garant für den Erfolg Upmanns war sein Bestreben, ausschließlich erstklassige Qualität zu liefern. Die H.Upmann -Habanos waren bekannt für ihre Verpackung in edlen Kisten aus dem Holz spanischer Zedern zusammen mit einer Garantieerklärung und der Unterschrift Hermann Upmanns – die Produktion fand und findet in Havanna statt.
