Something of a classic among Balmorals premium cigars is the slim traditional format of the original "Anejo XO" series. It combines the strengths of the range - exciting blend with a high Brazilian content, impeccable craftsmanship - into a scant hour of pleasure.
Flavours
The favourable ratio to the relatively small amount of filler due to the format sets off the strong-flavoured outer leaves - Brazilian Arapiraca and Dominican Olor - particularly well. Dark chocolate meets sunny fruit flavour! Of course, the filler also has more than a say - and it brings, especially in the small ring gauge, a good portion of finely balanced spice into play, from fine tart woody tannins to the herb garden to the oriental bazaar. Later in the smoke, toasty tones also come into play. The spiciness increases, the strength is overall well-medium.
