The release of this cigar in 1971 made waves. Cohiba was not yet on the open market, and so it was the longest, most sought-after and also most expensive smoke in the world. Only ever supplied in very small editions, this exquisite Habano with a smoking time of easily 3 hours is only available from us in the entire region!
Flavours
As the format suggests, the MC flagship offers maximum excitement, variety and intensity. Blessed with a stately smoke development despite its length, it immediately reveals its brand character with silky cocoa notes and a wonderful coffee scent. Especially in the first third, however, a fruity-floral component can be tasted, which other Montecristos do not offer in this form. Particularly pronounced is the increasing concentration of aromas as the smoke progresses. The taste becomes steadily deeper and more full-bodied, with notes of espresso, peat and bread crust. A feast for experienced aficionados!

Sie ist die Referenz für alle anderen Habanos. Qualität, Geschmack und Aroma sind herausragend und sehr intensiv. Allein der klangvolle Name weckt bei jedem Aficionado Erinnerungen an die Kindheit und die erste Begegnung mit dem Roman Der Graf von Montecristo von Alexandre Dumas. Die Namensgleichheit ist kein Zufall, sondern der Tatsache geschuldet, dass der Roman eine der Lieblingslektüren der Vorleser für die torcedores in der Manufaktur H.Upmann war, wo sie ursprünglich handgefertigt wurde. Auf der Suche nach einem gebührenden Namen für die Spitzen-Habanos war man sich also schnell einig. Seit ihrer Taufe in den 1930er Jahren ist die Montecristo eine Instanz, an der keine andere Habano vorbeikommt. Zumindest für die Liebhaber mittelkräftiger Mischungen. Heutzutage umfasst die Auswahl, die ursprünglich auf ein von No.1 bis 5 bezeichnetes Sortiment beschänkt war, alles was das Herz des Zigarrenrauchers begehrt – von der majestätischen Montecristo A bis zur kleinen Joyita. Ihnen allen ist der typische Montecristo-Geschmack gemeinsam.
