Flavours
In addition to dark wood aromas, a deep note between earth and cocoa along with hints of sweetness, all Toscanos have certain hearty notes that make you think of smoked meat - no wonder, because this is exactly what happens in the process of "fire-curing" with the tobacco! The process is usually applied to particularly strong Kentucky pipe tobaccos, so the flavour parallels to these are no coincidence either. With high flavour intensity, very concise spiciness and official nicotine content, the gnarled stumps are lovable exotics among machine-made cigars.

Toscano
Wie der Name bereits vermuten lässt, stammen die Toscani aus der italienischen Region Toskana rund um Florenz. Hier wurde durch Großherzog Ferdinand III. im Jahr 1818 eine Tabakfabrik gegründet, die die Toscano zum ersten Mal produzierte. Der Legende nach sollen die Toscani durch ein Abfallprodukt entstanden sein. Angeblich wurde Tabak der Sorte Kentucky im Regen während eines Gewitters vergessen, der dann im folgenden Sommer fermentiert ist. Aus diesem scheinbar billigen Abfallprodukt wurden Billigzigarren gedreht, die von den Menschen rund um Florenz jedoch sehr gerne geraucht wurden. Hieraus entstand eine dauerhafte Produktion der Toscano, die heute von der Manufaktur Sigaro Toscano S.p.A. in den Orten Cava de´ Tirreni und Lucca durchgeführt wird. Im Laufe der Zeit wurde die Toscanello entworfen, die in etwa halb so lang ist, wie die Zigarre. Die Marke ist neben ihrem Heimatland vor allem in der Schweiz, in Österreich aber auch in Deutschland bekannt.
