It quickly becomes clear that this exquisite rarity is by no means just a "pumped-up" noble version of the Belicoso. The tobaccos used testify to their hand-picked quality, puff by puff; the overall taste experience seems like a bundled "best-of" of the famous traditional brand. Solid cedar notes, embedded in a ravishing nuttiness reminiscent of Upmann, the fresh sweetness of the best meadow honey, a subtle hint of leather hovering over everything, sometimes also hints of berry fruits flatter the palate. With the onset of taper, the enjoyment becomes noticeably more robust, the hazelnut notes increase, and the smokiness of the medium-bodied cigar is now oily and dense. Brilliant!
