It's time again, like every year, the Montecristo Club cigarillos appear in a limited design edition. The design with the two crossed sabres of this year's limited edition is reminiscent of the novel "The Three Musketeers" published in 1844 by Alexandre Dumas.
Aroma
As with premium cigars, the rule of thumb for cigarillos is: the thinner, the more intense. Nevertheless, these little smokes are absolutely not biting or harsh. Rather, they bring across the brand-typical leading aromas - coffee beans, cocoa, spices, a little earth - so clearly that they are instantly recognisable as Montes! Because of their characteristic flavour, they go better than almost any other cigarillo with a double espresso - but also with a fine cognac.

Sie ist die Referenz für alle anderen Habanos. Qualität, Geschmack und Aroma sind herausragend und sehr intensiv. Allein der klangvolle Name weckt bei jedem Aficionado Erinnerungen an die Kindheit und die erste Begegnung mit dem Roman Der Graf von Montecristo von Alexandre Dumas. Die Namensgleichheit ist kein Zufall, sondern der Tatsache geschuldet, dass der Roman eine der Lieblingslektüren der Vorleser für die torcedores in der Manufaktur H.Upmann war, wo sie ursprünglich handgefertigt wurde. Auf der Suche nach einem gebührenden Namen für die Spitzen-Habanos war man sich also schnell einig. Seit ihrer Taufe in den 1930er Jahren ist die Montecristo eine Instanz, an der keine andere Habano vorbeikommt. Zumindest für die Liebhaber mittelkräftiger Mischungen. Heutzutage umfasst die Auswahl, die ursprünglich auf ein von No.1 bis 5 bezeichnetes Sortiment beschänkt war, alles was das Herz des Zigarrenrauchers begehrt – von der majestätischen Montecristo A bis zur kleinen Joyita. Ihnen allen ist der typische Montecristo-Geschmack gemeinsam.
