This is the popular "D8" blend in the spectacular format of an extra-thick perfecto with a smoking time of easily 80 - 100 minutes. Only a single Torcedor is able to roll the imposing "Zeppelin" - smoking it, on the other hand, is completely uncomplicated!
Flavours
With an overall quite moderate, in the final third medium strength, the varied smoke brings a pleasant indulgent aroma to the palate. The typical latte melting is found in the creamy smoke as well as the sweet oily taste of light roasted nuts. The gentle notes are cushioned by fine, woody-astringent cedar spice as well as a gossamer pinch of mild pepper. Caramel permanently clings to the palate; with the onset of taper, the noble roasted flavours emerge more concisely, accompanied by leathery scents. Exciting stuff!

Costa Rica hat sich in den letzten Jahren einen hervorragenden Ruf geschaffen, wenn es um die Herstellung von Premium Zigarren geht. Oft werden erstklassige Tabake importiert und dann gewissenhaft in einer der vielen Manufakturen per Hand gerollt. Der bedeutendste Hersteller sitzt in Puriscal und heißt Vegas de Santiago. Seit über 80 Jahren baut man dort Tabak an. Das spezielle Klima dieser Berglandschaft birgt genau die richtige Mischung zwischen Temperatur, Luftfeuchtigkeit und fruchtbarer, vulkanischer Erde, die für den Tabakanbau ideal ist. Vor mehr als drei Jahrzehnten war es dann ein alter Meister, der die Zigarren-Herstellung bei Vegas de Santiago perfektionierte. Der aus Kuba stammende Don Luis Santana Lamas blieb bis zu seinem Tod der Produktionsleiter der Zigarrenfabrik. Don Luis brachte seine lebenslange Erfahrung und sein technisches Wissen im Anbauen, Trocknen, Reifen und Lagern von Rohtabak, und der Handfertigung von feinen Zigarren nach Costa Rica.
