In terms of dimensions, this is admittedly "only" a shorter version of the Corona with a smoking time of approx. 40 - 50 minutes. As far as the taste profile is concerned, however, it certainly has its very own charms to offer. Perfect format for in between!
Flavour
The woody character of the tobacco blend also comes out wonderfully in the short corona. Here, however, it is more clearly complemented by beautiful bittersweet notes between cocoa and tart roasted nuts; the latter become increasingly prominent from around the middle. Herbal facets of menthol and garden herbs provide a pleasant touch of ethereal freshness before the initially light, later rather medium-bodied smoke produces a surprisingly clear dose of tickling pepper spice, which never comes too far to the fore. Den Markennamen Vegafina würde man mit 'fruchtbares Land' übersetzen und ihn in die Kategorie erfolgreichste Zigarren der Dominikanischen Republik einordnen. Diesen Erfolg erarbeitete man sich mit einer bespielhaften Qualität zu einem äußerst fairen Preis. Hergestellt werden diese von Hand gefertigten Longfiller Zigarren in der "Tabacalera de Garcia" , die als größte Tabakmanufaktur der Welt gilt. Diese Manufaktur produziert diverse weitere namhafte Zigarrenmarken und stellt das Pendant kubanischer Zigarrenmarken für den US amerikanischen Markt her. Diese Fabrik verlassen im Jahr circa 10 Millionen Longfiller Zigarren die alle sehr hohen Qualitätsprüfungen unterliegen. Die bei der Marke Vegafina verwendeten Tabake müssen sich keineswegs verstecken. In der Einlage werden ausschließlich Tabake aus der Dominikanischen Republik verwendet, darunter Tabaksorten wie Piloto und Olor. Das makellose Deckblatt ist ein Connecticut Tabak der im Schatten in Ecuador gezogen wurde. Jede Zigarre ist ansprechend in ihrer Optik und man kann definitiv von Premium-Qualität sprechen wenn man das Rauchverhalten wie Abbrand und Rauchentwicklung betrachtet. Ein besonders milder Blend wird bei dieser Marke verwendet die sie somit zum absoluten Klassiker unter den Einsteigerzigarren macht.
