In addition to excellent cognacs, Ferrand also produces this original wine-based aperitif. In a sophisticated production process, very freshly harvested grapes are pressed; the fermentation of the unfermented must is interrupted with Eau-de-Vie de Cognac (young grape brandy). It spends two-thirds of the 1 ½ -year ageing period in oak barrels.

Astonishing what a variety of different fruit notes can be offered by a product made exclusively from grapes! After a bewitching honey sweetness and elegant floral overtones that dominate the olfactory perception, the seductive aroma of yellow fruits such as peaches and apricots spreads across the palate, complemented by intense fruit sweetness that at times almost reminds one a little of dried fruit such as figs. In contrast, finely dosed, animating acidity reminds us that we are dealing with a wine drink after all. The sweet treat has a long finish like a noble brandy; here, the complex fruit taste continues seamlessly.
