Aroma
Compared to its larger sisters from this series, the small format has a somewhat stronger and spicier start. This soon subsides, however, and the usual gentle feel-good aroma spreads, with creamy latte, subtle grassy overtones, almond flavour and just the right amount of honey sweetness. As it progresses, the toasty and spicier notes come to the fore, but always supported by the soft smoky texture and the lovely facets typical of Connecticut. Towards the end, the overall still rather light cigar makes a step towards medium strength again.

Der Name der Zigarrenmarke La Galera bezieht sich auf den Saal in der Tabacalera in dem die Zigarren tatsächlich hergestellt werden. Der spanische Begriff „La Galera“ bedeutet ins Deutsche übersetzt so viel wie Galeere, oder etwas despektierlich ausgedrückt, Sklaven – Galeere. Da diese mittelalterlichen Schiffe von Hand gerudert wurden, klingt die Bezeichnung erstmal nach einem nicht sonderlich angenehmen Arbeitsplatz. Dennoch erklärt der Inhaber der Marke, Jochy Blanco, dass hier „die tatsächliche Magie passiert“, denn hier findet die Vermählung der Tabake zu Zigarren statt. Aus heutiger Sicht ist es echt verwunderlich, dass der Name noch von niemandem vorher verwendet wurde.
