Only in 2020 did this latest prank of the lovable budget brand come into the shops. The format is a slightly slimmed-down Petit Robusto and thus more contemporary than the traditional formats. Smoking time approx. 40 – 50 minutes. Ideal for the entry into the Piedra portfolio!
Flavours
The lightest and most charming JLP, at the same time the one with the smoothest and most voluminous smoke. But above all, it offers the greatest variety of flavours. Whereas its sisters focus on savoury spices, earthy and R&O notes, the „little rider“ also offers a dark, malty flavour and noble, almost walnut-like tones. In this respect, it is the new star of the brand – there are many more expensive longfillers in the world that offer less complexity and flavour! Well-balanced right to the end.

José L. Piedra ist eine besonders bemerkenswerte Habano, denn die Einlageblätter stammen nicht nur aus der Tabakanbauzone Remedios, sondern die Zigarren sind totalmente a mano, tripa corta – vollständig von Hand gefertigte Shortfiller. Die Familie Piedra siedelte in den 80er Jahren des 19. Jahrhunderts aus der spanischen Provinz Asturien nach Kuba um. Sie ließen sich in der Nähe der Stadt Santa Clara nieder, die im Herzen der Region Remedios liegt, wo seit dem 16. Jahrhundert Tabak angebaut wird. Dort begannen sie mit der Zigarrenherstellung. Der mit vollem Namen bekannte José Lamadrid Piedra führte die zweite Generation an, gründete und entwickelte die Marke, wie wir sie heute kennen.

Product information
A synthetic fibre, specially and optimally adapted to the weather, is used to measure the air humidity. The measuring deviation is +/- 3% and guarantees a fast response time. With the integrated magnet system, the hygrometer can be easily attached anywhere in the humidor. Due to the small diameter of only 67 mm, this hygrometer is also ideally suited for smaller humidors. To avoid inaccuracies in the measurement of humidity, the hygrometer should be recalibrated every six months.
