Worth knowing
Like all cigars from the Oliva brand, the cigars in the Oliva Connecticut Reserve series are also made in the Oliva family's Esteli-based tobacco factory in Nicaragua.
Flavours
For the filler blend of the Oliva Connecticut Reserve series, Nicaraguan tobaccos are used and wrapped in a Nicaraguan binder. The wrapper is wrapped in a silky-soft Connecticut wrapper leaf grown in Ecuador. The composition of the cigars impresses with a soft, gentle flavour that is not boring despite its mildness. Complex flavours and softness are definitely not mutually exclusive here. Oak wood, leather, nut, chocolate, pepper and earth flavours dominate from the moment the cigar is lit, accompanied by a light tobacco spice. The Oliva Connecticut Reserve Robusto is a Robusto format with a length of 12.70 cm and a diameter of 1.98 cm, which corresponds to a 50 ring gauge.

The successor line to the popular âSerie Oâ has launched this contemporary XL format, which presents the lightest current blend of the cult brand with the Gordo-typical comfortable smoking characteristics. Approx. 85 â 100 minutes of pure pleasure!
Flavours
Whoever knows the light Connecticut Shadegrown wrappers from Ecuador is already attuned to a certain kind of aroma. They will be anything but disappointed, but will discover some unexpected nuances. The typical creamy almond, cereal/white bread and milky coffee notes of such cigars are not only integrated into pronounced sweetness, but also cushioned by pleasantly bitter tones. The cedar wood scent, which dominates the second third, meets just the right amount of spiciness; at times, there is even a ripe fruitiness that is more reminiscent of Sungrown cigars. The strength is light and medium.

Worth knowing
The radical counter-design to the Double Toro within the series is this small format, which with its thin RM 38 could already be called a Petit Panatela. Without being strong, it concentrates the character of the blend in about 30 â 40 minutes.
Flavours
The sweet and gentle light nutty aromas of the series are also clearly present here, but the focus in the taste picture of the smallest format is more in the fine spicy area. Rich cedar notes, fragrant, ethereal overtones, but also a latent herbaceous chocolateiness, which sets it apart from the other vintages, are what the short one has to offer. With a somewhat fuller body and a smooth medium strength, the sweetness and intensity are, as expected, a little more pronounced. The smoke texture, on the other hand, is just as soft and pleasant as that of its larger sisters.
