S.T. Dupont Minijet, Maxijet, Le Grand, Ligne 2

High quality cigar accessories by S.T. Dupont

The brand S.T. Dupont is a French manufacturer of luxury accessories based in Paris and is known primarily for its high-quality lighters. The brand was founded in 1872 by Simon Tissot Dupont, a pioneer with a strong sense of aesthetics. At the age of 25, he had the visionary idea of creating personalized rice suitcases for the Parisian upper class. At the end of the second decade of the 20th century, Simon Tissot Dupont's sons Lucien and Andre took over the factory and bought a posh townhouse in Paris in the early 1920s to meet the ever-increasing demand for luxury Dupont products.

In the mid-1920s, the brothers decided to move the factory to Faverges, the family's home, where it remains today. The environmental and sustainability philosophy of the S.T. Dupont brand continues to be shaped by the factory's surroundings to this day. After a meeting with Louis Cartier in New York, Simon Tissot Dupont ventured across the pond with his products, which were henceforth sold in a boutique on 5th Avenue. When a maharajah asked for a solid gold lighter in 1941, the master craftsmen threw their artistic talents together and developed the world's first luxury lighter.

It takes the master craftsmen up to 5 months to make a single S.T. Dupont brand lighter, which consists of about 70 components. Both the body and the tank are made from a solid block of brass. To make a luxury lighter from this block requires 600 operations and 300 control tests. Over the decades, the brothers steadily expanded the portfolio of the luxury goods manufacturer.

In addition to leather goods, writing instruments, accessories and watches, lighters and cigar cutters also found their way into the brand's portfolio, true to the motto "The passion to create the best luxury products".
